Up Date

Where do I begin?

Dog boarding goes from strength to strength which is great news. We have a number of vets boarding their own pets with us. What can I say? :)

I cannot remember the last time we had no dogs in and summer is almost full already. We are taking bookings for 2015 Yes 2015!

I have a lady on board to help and will at some point extend the number of units, however it won't be for this summer as I do need to ensure all of my high standards are being maintained ahead of going larger.

I thoroughly enjoy caring for the dogs, getting to know their characters and ways. I love it when we have a few together who will run and play, wrestle and have fun. I put them back in their own units panting and hear nothing from them as they rest ready for the next play time.

Not all dogs want this type of care. Some need one to one and gentle handling which is very rewarding too.

The cattery has continued to grow even though it is in it's 7th year. We have a lot of regulars but are still attracting new customers. Even though well used, the cattery still looks great and doesn't smell. Our vigilant cleaning policy clearly works and will be continued as the building is mainly timber which would soon hold a sent.

My boys are very busy

Eldest Craig is now a working man on an apprenticeship scheme where he has the opportunity to take an engineering degree

Middle Neil is working hard to gain his best grades possible at AS levels

Youngest Jamie has settled extremely well at Denstone College. He is achieving very well academically whilst thoroughly enjoying his sports too. Socially I can barely keep track of him which is lovely to support although exhausting at times.

My training is going well ready for my challenges later in the year. I am getting so fit :)
I will set up the page for anyone wishing to sponsor me for the Moon Walk 26.2 miles in May All proceeds are for breast cancer research and are much appreciated.
